Financial Spread Betting Update for 29 November 2010

In early trading this morning we’re seeing a little bounce higher in stocks which is probably in part due to relief that the terms of the Irish bailout have been settled. Other bailouts for other PIGS nations are being talked about so it remains to be seen as to what will happen to stocks and the Euro as we move into the final month of the year.

For now the long term trends are still intact and are currently up for stocks and commodities and down for the US dollar.

The past week was a shortened trading week due to the US Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday. This meant that US markets were closed on Thursday and only traded for a half day on Friday. Often in these holiday weeks we see lighter volume and mostly sideways action and that is pretty much what we got in a lot of markets…
