Financial Spread Betting Update 22nd November 2010

This week’s financial spread betting update is now available and can be read by clicking here.

The coming week is a shortened trading week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday in the US on Friday. This means that US markets will be closed on Thursday and Friday is a shortened trading day. Generally this leads to a week of lighter volume but also on an historical basis an up week.

In early trading this morning the dollar is slightly weaker and stocks are marginally higher. The Euro is higher following the Irish bail-out, with the bail-out package expected to total 90 billion Euros. It now seems likely that others, in particular Portugal will also ask for a bail-out in the not too distant future.

This week’s financial spread betting update begins with:

The correction in the markets that we wrote about last week continued into the first half of this week and we have since seen a bit of a recovery. The long term trend remains intact across the board so things are still as before, so the long term trends continue to be up for commodities and stocks and down for the US dollar..

Good trading
